Throughout the year we hold Come and Try Days for people interested in trying Outrigger Canoeing. We have just completed three of these days during the off season with the last being on the 26th of September 2010 for Brisbane City Council Real Adventure Women programme. We are about to enter into our racing season early in January and will set some more Come and Try Days for later in 2010. Stay tuned for those dates or email our us at registrar@brisbaneoutrigger.com to enquire.
We have also just completed our 3 week Novice Program in October 2010. This program is a 3 week timeline with it covering all the basics required for the sport of outrigging. A big welcome to all the Novices that took part in the Program that have now joined our club and are training hard for the coming race season. Congratulations to all our novice paddlers and a very big welcome to our club.
This is also a call out to anyone who has paddled in the past, drop us a line and we can get you back into training! We encourage anyone who has a little or a lot of paddling experience to come down to a session and see how much you miss getting on the water. If you are a social paddler or want to get back into competition, now is the time to slowly build that boat fitness back up. We offer three complimentary sessions to see if you want to get back into it. Again, email the BOCC registrar so we can advise you of off-season training sessions.
